What does being a member of HOSA mean?
HOSA Future Health Professionals is an organization for students who are interested in pursuing a career in the medical field. Being a part of HOSA allows students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a setting by offering job shadow and volunteer opportunities.
What can I do to make a difference with HOSA?
With the resources made available by HOSA, students have the ability to go out into their communities and make a positive impact. Students can make a difference to those around them by donating to them their skills, knowledge, and experience.
What can HOSA do for me?
HOSA offers a wide range of volunteering and job shadow opportunities that gives its members hands-on experience in the medical field. There are also scholarships awarded to students who partake in HOSA and truly make a difference within their chapter and community.
How do I join HOSA?
If your school already has a chapter affiliated, simply talk to the chapter advisor about becoming a member. State fees are $7 while National fees are $10. That makes a total of $17, but once a student pays these fees, they can begin to enjoy the wonderful opportunities that HOSA has to offer.
How do I start a chapter at my school?
For students, the first step to creating an affiliated HOSA chapter is talking to a health science teacher. Let them know you are interested in HOSA and ask if they would be willing to be your advisor. Then, have them follow these steps to create a chapter!
