Medical Mystery Clues Released

Clue 4: Quincy also said that Amber-Ray looked really dizzy and weak after her event. She called their HOSA Advisor, and right when she got there, Amber-Ray fainted. They immediately took her to the emergency room.

Clue 6: We also discovered that Amber-Ray was coughing shortly before fainting. The room attendant to her competitive events room mentioned how other competitors were complaining about Amber-Ray’s constant cough. When the room attendant offered Amber-Ray a bottle of water, Amber-Ray quickly drank it all and her cough soon subsided. The room attendant believes that her cough occurred because she had a dry throat caused by the Texas heat.

Clue 7: When we questioned the room attendant, he mentioned that Amber-Ray left her competitive events room stumbling. According to the room attendant, Amber-Ray had her hands out and would walk very slowly as if she was unsure as to where things were. When the room attendant offered to help Amber-Ray walk, she waved him off telling him that her vision was a little off and that if she went and took a quick nap she would be all fine.

Clue 8: We talked with the friends that Amber-Ray was facetiming to see if they could tell a little bit about her past. According to her friends, Amber-Ray took extra AP courses her sophomore and junior years. Because she had so much to study, Amber-Ray had to give up being on the volleyball team. She was super upset about it, and really stressed about school.

Clue 9: We talked to one of Amber-Ray’s friends, Val Vagus, who was sitting next to her on the bus ride to the Opening Session. According to Val, Amber-Ray was rubbing around her eyes a lot. He only noticed because her mascara got smudged, but when he tried to help her fix it, she said the entire area around her eyes hurt really bad. She didn’t get much sleep the night before because she was preparing for her speech.

Clue 13: After waking up, Quincy remembers that she felt super refreshed. According to her, the pillows on her bed were like soft heavenly clouds. However, when she asked Amber-Ray if she slept well, Amber-Ray stated that her neck was super stiff and that the pillows were the worst. When Quincy checked Amber-Ray’s pillow, it was surprising because it was the exact same ones as the ones she slept with. At first Quincy thought Amber-Ray was just very picky with pillow, but now is wondering if this has something to do with her fainting.

Clue 14: We received the MRI scans from the hospital. The doctor said she was suspicious of a certain condition but was hesitant because it’s so uncommon in girls Amber-Ray’s age.
