State Service Project

The Wisconsin HOSA State Service Project involves a state-level identified partner in which chapters can choose to support through volunteer service and fundraising. Local chapters plan service projects to support the selected organization. Chapters document their involvement and submit documentation through a form for the opportunity to earn recognition at the state level.

 

GOAL: This event aims to encourage HOSA members to provide community service and collectively support the selected service organization. 

WAYS TO GET YOUR CHAPTER INVOLVED:

  • NAMI Walks - namiwalks.org

  • Host a Mental Health Fair

    • Choose mental health topics, organize the fair, involve your school/community, educate others

  • Host fundraisers to Encourage Donations​​​

  • Create Awareness

    • Social media, bulletin board, announcements, awareness months​

 

CHAPTER RECOGNITION: Gold, silver and bronze medals are not awarded for this event. At the State level, Certificates of Recognition will be awarded to all chapters who contribute a minimum of $100 or 100 hours of community service in partnership with the organization. The monetary and time requirements must not be combined to reach this minimum.

 Levels of Recognition:

  • Bronze: $100 raised or 100 hours of service

  • Silver: $250 raised or 250 hours of service

  • Gold: $500 raised or 500 hours of service
